As questions circulate nationwide about federal funding, Clay County Public Health Center has confirmed that Women, Infants and Children (WIC) services will continue uninterrupted for local families through federal fiscal year 2026.The renewal of the annual contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services ensures essential nutrition support and education remain available across Clay County.According to Clay County Public Health Center Program Manager Lori Miller, the renewal is a key step in maintaining access to services for families who depend on WIC for healthy food and nutrition guidance.“Renewal of the annual WIC contract enables Clay County Public Health Center to continue providing WIC services to pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum individuals and their infants and children up to age 5,” said Miller. “This means that individuals living at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level can receive nutritious foods,...
