Residents living on Lakeview Drive and Ridgeview Drive in Wood Heights are receiving mail again after services were suspended since Wednesday, Feb. 8, due to a man wielding a BB gun. In a recent Wood Heights City Council meeting, Mayor Frank Davitt confirmed mail is being delivered once again but residents must move their mailboxes closer to the street. The incident involved a postal worker who was allegedly approached by resident Lanny Holman, 62, who was holding a BB gun claiming he was using the gun to shoot at cats on his property. Holman was charged with felony first-degree harassment. Holman posted the $5,000 bond set by Ray County Judge Lori Baskins. Holman’s next hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, at the Ray County Circuit Court Division.
