Carl Clifton Anderson (May 4, 1959—August 2, 2018)


Carl Clifton Anderson, 59, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at home.

Carl was born May 4, 1959 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri to Albert Newton (Pete) and Yvonna Glennidean Anderson.

Carl began his career as a heavy equipment operator for BFI Landfill in Missouri City, Missouri. Later, he worked as a welder and fabricator. He was a longtime member of Woodland Baptist Church.

He married Lois Ann Gibson on May 17, 1985. To this union, two children were born: a son, Curtis William Anderson, and a daughter, Crystal Danelle Anderson.

Carl later married Joanna Nicoll. She brought two children to this union, Chaz Nicoll and Demore Turner.

Carl was proud to have worked along with Chuck Wynn in roughing-in the church. He and Lois were the first couple married in the new church.

Carl was preceded in death by his grandparents: Charles and Frances Anderson and Jack and Josephine Easley.

He is survived by his parents, children, brother: Jeff Anderson and wife Kelly; sister, Marcia Deal and husband Jim.

Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018 at Woodland Baptist Church, east of Liberty on H Highway, one mile west of Prathersville. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., with service at 11 a.m. Family dinner will follow.

    I’m really gonna miss you Carl. You were always a good friend to me and the kids and we all loved you. Im gonna miss hearing you call me your Sister. Rest Easy Brother love you ox p
