Louise Clevenger, 94, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2018.

Louise was born June 13, 1924, the daughter of Barney Otto and Edith Belle Smith. She married Benjamin Clevenger on Oct. 28, 1945; he preceded her in death May 29, 2011. Louise worked at Flanders in downtown Excelsior Springs from 1963 until the stores closing. She later worked at The Style Shop and was a long-time member of Union Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and son-in-law.

Survivors include her son: Gary and wife Connie Clevenger, of Excelsior Springs; daughter: Karen Clancy, of Ottawa, Kansas; sister-in-law: Edith Clevenger, of Hoquiam, Washington; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from noon-1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, with service following at Union Baptist Church in Orrick, Missouri. Burial will be at Union Baptist Cemetery.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions to the church missions fund.

Arrangements provided by Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
