Anthony “Tony” Lee Ardese, 70, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020, at Liberty Hospital.

A graveside service with full military honors took place at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at North New Garden Cemetery.

Anthony was born July 4, 1950, in Talihina, Oklahoma, to Agnes Wade and Joseph Ardese. He graduated from Panola High School, Panola, Oklahoma in 1969. He was a Vietnam veteran, loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jimmy Jo, Carl, Vincent and Joseph Ardese.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janie Ardese; son Eric Ardese; daughter, Christina Ardese, all of Excelsior Springs; daughter, Annette Ardese Shields and husband Matt; two grandsons, Hunter and Jackson Shields of Lawson, Missouri; brothers, Michael Griffitts and Elmer Ardese; and sister, Rosalie Ardese, all from Oklahoma.
