Betty Barber, 89, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020.

Betty was married to Melvin Barber on July 29, 1950. They had four children: Melvin Gene Joe Barber Jr., Eddie Monroe Barber, Gary Lynn Barber and Marcella Rose Briggs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Barber; and her son, Gary Barber.

Betty is survived by Marcella Briggs of Lee’s Summit, Melvin Gene Joe Barber Jr. of Texas, Eddie Barber of Excelsior Springs, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband at Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
