Doug Horn

Doug Horn, 58, of Polo passed away April 10, 2024. Born Oct. 15, 1965, in Kansas City, Doug was known for his vibrant personality and kind heart. He was a graduate of the class of 1984 in Kearney. Doug married the love of his life, Terry, in 2005. Doug was the beloved husband of Theresa “Terry” Horn and the proud father of Cody Horn (Destiny) of Arizona and Peggy Horn (Nick), also of Arizona. In addition, he is survived by his brothers, Kent Horn (Ying) of Arizona, Kenny Horn (Robin) of Missouri and Greg Horn (Penny) of Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Allie, Wyatt, Antonio, Mariah and Dominic.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Horn; and stepdaughter, Denessa Goessi.

Professionally, Doug served as operations manager for Norris Quarries in Cameron and operated a cow/ calf business with his wife in Polo. In his leisure time, Doug indulged in his passion for horses, actively participating in team roping and rodeo events.

Friends and loved ones are invited to a service celebrating Doug’s life 1-2 p.m. April 27 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney.

Doug will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
