Edward Arvil Hutchison, 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 17, 2018.

Ed resided in Sarasota Florida.

Ed was a U. S. Navy veteran. Ed was an Ordained Deacon and served at Gashland Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, and Lawson Baptist Church in Lawson Missouri. Ed also taught Sunday School for many years. Ed was known for his strong work ethic, and generosity to others. Continuing in that fashion he has donated his body to advance medical knowledge through Science Care, a whole-body donor program.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Agnus Hutchison, beloved wife of 64 yrs. Sally L. Hutchison, brother Bud Hutchison, sisters Artie Woodruff, Arlie Langston, Aurene Taylor and Arvey Shipman.

He is survived by a brother Arlon Hutchison of Holland Michigan, children Phil and Judy Hutchison of Excelsior Springs, Laura and Donnie Blakley of Sarasota, Mike and Cheryl Hutchison of Florristant, Colorado, grandchildren Angela, Greg, Jeanna, Lana, Michael, Stephanie and 11 great grandchildren. A dual memorial service for Edward and Sally Hutchison per their wishes will be held on March 30, 2019 at Pisgah Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with services immediately following.
