James E. Gresham, 81, of Excelsior Springs passed away on Sept. 20, 2023, at his home from cancer.

Mr. Gresham was born July 6, 1942, in Kansas City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He played bass for 40 years and once played with Kitty Wells. He enjoyed the bar scene and country music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha (Lundstrom) Gresham and Norman Gresham; and brother, Norman “Butch” Gresham.

He is survived by his brother, John; daughter, Mandy; significant other, Linda McAnich; niece, Lorie; and great-niece, Brigit.
