The Excelsior Standard, Jan. 19, 2024 James Hallman James Ralph Hallman, 81, of Excelsior Springs passed away peacefully Jan. 7, 2024, in his home, surrounded by family. A memorial ceremony will be held 3-5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs, 5951 Missouri Highway 10. James was born in St. Louis to Sonia and Ralph Hallman. He was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force. His military career was cut short following the sudden death of his father. As he came home to be the man of the house for his mother and sister Helen, this began a life of caring for his family and others. He worked most of his adult life as an expert carpenter and remodeling contract manager for Standard Home Improvement Co. He was a wise and patient man who loved Jennifer, his dear wife; his quiet country home; gardening; fishing; and cheering on the Chiefs to the Super Bowl with family every weekend.
