Kent Dickey

Kent Wayne Dickey, 66, of Richmond passed away Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at his residence. Kent was born April 10, 1957, in Excelsior Springs, the son of Jack and Jean (Kalberloh) Dickey. He was united in marriage to Michelle Dawn McNiel on Aug. 28, 1993. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his son, Garett Dickey of Richmond; three daughters, Carissa Dickey of Excelsior Springs, Lesa Dickey of Independence and Brandy Arnold of Richmond; 10 grandchildren; and sister, Sherry (Raymond) Allen of Orrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Brett Andrew Dickey; his daughter, Melissa Dickey; and his sister, Jackie Dickey.

Kent was reared and educated in the area of his birth, graduating in 1975 from Excelsior Springs High School. He loved his music, fishing, NASCAR, Mark Martin and Dale Earnhart Sr. He was an avid Chiefs fan.

Kent worked in construction. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
