Linda Ruth (Stanton) Walker, 83, a longtime resident of Excelsior Springs, passed away Nov. 14, 2020, at Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab.

Linda was born Sept. 30, 1937, in Kansas City, one of 10 children of Harry J. and Fern Goldie (Tunnel) Stanton. She was united in marriage to Robert Franklin Walker on Feb. 4, 1956. Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert F. “Bob” Walker; a son, Robert P. “Bob” Walker; a granddaughter, Mindy Walker; and three brothers and five sisters.

Linda was a special needs monitor for the Liberty School District before she retired.

Survivors include her children, Ronald Walker (Brenda), Laura Preston (Mike) and Russell Walker; five grandchildren, Brad Walker, Tiffany Walker, Russ Walker (Elicia), Lisa Cunningham (David) and Lacy Wenger (Brady); 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Miriam Hedrick; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation took place 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, Interstate Highway 35 at Highway 291, Liberty. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 7801 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City.
