Lois Mae Kirtwright, 74, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020, at home.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, at Crescent Lake Christian Center, Excelsior Springs, followed by the funeral at 7 p.m. Burial will be at Lindley Prairie Cemetery, Stockton, Missouri, on Monday, Aug. 17, 2020.

Lois was born Sept. 23, 1945. She is the daughter of the late Lloyd Edward and the late Lydia Jane (Baker) Johnson. She married William Lee Kirtwright on July 12, 1965, in Missouri City, Missouri. They were happily married 55 years. Together, they had three children, Katheryn, Mark and Amy. She is in heaven rejoicing with her Lord and Savior now. She loved to quilt, make porcelain dolls and take care of her family, and was an avid genealogist. She attended Crescent Lake Christian Center more than 30 years. She was a godly example of what a Proverbs 31 woman should be.

She is survived by her husband, William Lee Kirtwright; two daughters, Katheryn (Mike) Jennings and Amy Kirtwright; one son, Mark Lee (Eileen) Kirtwright; seven grandchildren, Shay Lee Bush, Ashley Kirtwright, Shyanne Sickles, Erik Lee Kirtwright, Mark Lee Kirtwright Jr, Nicholas Andrews and Katie Andrews; three great-grandchildren, Ava Andrews, Paisley Wetzel and Lizzie Kirtwright; one sister, Wilma Hurlbert; and two brothers, Edward (Peggy) Johnson and Steve Johnson.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Leonard Hurlbert; sister, Della West; and brother-in-law, Gerry West.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Lois’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, Heart of America Chapter, 3846W 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208.
