Noah Marker

Noah Reed Marker, age 22, of Excelsior Springs passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2023. He was born on July 22, 2000, and a 2018 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. Noah was a senior at the University of Missouri, seeking a degree in journalism. Noah was a huge sports fan. His passion for sports and statistics was matched by no other. He also spent unimaginable hours playing games with his brothers and friends.

Noah blazed many trails and participated in several roles within the YMCA Challenger Program, Variety Children’s Charity of Greater Kansas City, as well as many sports, activities and organizations within our Excelsior Springs community.

Noah inspired and educated the world through his kindness, his passions, his ornery grin and his quick wit. Above all, Noah was and always will be a special gift sent to us and a blessing to all who had the honor of meeting him.

Noah was welcomed home with open arms by his grandmother, Wanda Marker; and many great-grandparents.

Noah is survived by his parents, Marty and Christy Marker; brothers, Andrew (Meghan) Morris and Kane Marker; nephew, Jamie Morris; niece, Ella Morris; grandparents, Dennis Marker, and Bob and Sheila Neal; uncle, Denny Marker; aunt, Deana (Richard) Bergen; aunt, Cheryl (Steve) Bailey; best friends, the Marrant family; as well as many great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 29. The family will hold a visitation at 9:30 a.m., with a celebration of life immediately following at noon at the Excelsior Springs High School Performing Arts Center.

Burial will take place following the service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.

To honor Noah, the family requests casual attire. Please come in ES Tigers, MU Tigers, KC Royals or KC Chiefs attire/colors. Shorts, jeans, T-shirts, suits, etc. at your comfort level.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Marty and Christy Marker for the creation of The Noah Marker Memorial Fund.
