Norman Osterberg

On Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, beloved father Norman Osterberg passed away with his family by his side. Born to Ewald and Esther Osterberg on Nov. 29, 1942, in Salem, S.D., Norm was raised on the farm among lots of family. In the summer of 1960, he graduated high school, also joining the U.S. Navy, serving until November 1963. He graduated in 1969 from Dakota State University in Madison, S.D., and married Carol Ann Neuberger in August. They landed in Excelsior Springs in September 1975 and remained in the community.

Norm was a member of Barbee Church and the American Legion.

He is survived by his children, Stacey (Mark) Morgan and Jason (Katie) Osterberg; and grandchildren, Kailey Morgan, Lexi Morgan, Tyler Morgan, Josie Osterberg and Jonas Osterberg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; daughter, Allison; and parents, Ewald and Esther.

The visitation was held 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, with a celebration of life service at 3, at Barbee Church.
