Patricia Lou Calvin, 89, of Excelsior Springs, passed away on Nov. 15, 2020, at Liberty Hospital from complications of COVID-19.

Mrs. Patricia Calvin was born on Nov. 18, 1930 in Kansas City to Harry Bryan Turk and Bonnie Dimple (Neely) Turk.

Patricia graduated in 1948 from Central High School and graduated the same year from cosmetology school.

She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs. She loved playing the piano and was an avid card player.

Knitting was an important part of her life. Every grandchild received something she knitted especially for them. Cross-country motorcycle trips with Harold were among her fondest memories. They loved life as evidenced by all their family activities, including weekends on the lake, flying somewhere for lunch and camping with Trevor and Jeremy.

Patricia was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. Harold E. Calvin; and brother, H. Jack Turk.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Dr. Kent) Powell, Dr. Dennis (Nancy) Calvin, Dr. Russell (Lynne) Calvin and Terry Calvin; grandchildren, Trevor (Heidi) Powell, Jeremy (Kimberly) Powell, Tim Calvin (Heather), Patty (Russell) Friend, Cody (Catrina) Calvin and Skylar (Kelly) Calvin; and greatgrandchildren, Madison Powell, Tristan Moore, Scout Powell, Zowie, Valhalla and Jack Friend, ImmyLu Calvin, Austin, Bentley, Elizabeth, Karmann and Madison Calvin, Cody Jr., Meadow and Juniper Calvin.

A visitation will begin at noon, with a celebration of life following at 1 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, outside at the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs, 1650 Rainbow Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the First United Methodist Church; 1650 Rainbow Blvd., Excelsior Springs, MO 64024.
