Patrick Thomas McNally Jr., age 95, of Columbia, passed away on June 20, 2022 at Boone Hospital. He was born on February 1, 1927 in Nemaha, Kansas; a son of Patrick Thomas McNally Sr.  and Clara (Huerter) McNally. He was united in marriage to Carolyn McLaughlin on February 20, 1954 in Akron, Colorado and she survives. 

As a young man, Tom worked for many years as a Signal Maintainer for the CB&Q Railroad in Colorado and Nebraska. Later in life Patrick co-owned and operated American Wilcon Plastics for more than 20 years.  After he retired in 1995 he enjoyed spending his extra time with his family.   

Tom was a lifelong member of Knights of Columbus and assisted in establishing multiple clubs as he and Carolyn moved around the Midwest. Tom is remembered as a kind, neighborly man who enjoyed helping others.  He would spend his free time outdoors gardening and fishing. He especially enjoyed time camping.   

Tom is survived by his daughter, Marie Schlup (Robert) of Columbia; sons, Mark McNally (Rona) of Kansas, Steven McNally of Florida; a sister Ruth Ellen Babcock of St. Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren Patrick, Erin, and Courtney, and 6 great-grandchildren. Tom was preceded by his parents, a daughter Theresa, his brother Joseph, and sisters Thelma, Berniece and Rosemary. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 218 Leonard Street, Onaga, Kansas.  Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Coal Creek, Kansas.
