Ronnie Ray Abbott, 71, of Grandview, died unexpectedly Monday, July 6, 2020, at his home.

Ronnie was born on February 19, 1949, in Excelsior Springs, the son of Bobby Ray and Elizabeth Ann (Thacker) Abbott.  He was united in marriage to Edna Mary Williamson of Lawrence, KS, on August 9, 1969; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: brother, Samuel Allen (Teresa) Abbott of Claycomo; two sisters, Sharon Sue O’Dell of Excelsior Springs and Wendy Ann (Richard) Peterson of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Judy (Gary) Good of Princeton, KS; several nieces, nephews, and his beloved fur babies.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ronnie attended schools in Hardin and Richmond, before graduating from Excelsior Springs High School in 1967.  Ronnie was a parts representative for Bob Allen Ford in Overland Park, KS, from 1997 to 2019, when he retired.  He lived in Excelsior Springs, Lawrence, KS, Kansas City, and in Grandview for the past 20 years.  He was a member of the Richmond Church of God and served as a Deacon.  He enjoyed traveling, camping, and going to Branson.  Ronnie was an animal lover.
