Sharon Sims, 89, Lawson, passed away Sept. 4, 2023, at her home.

A memorial visitation will be held 2:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, with a service following, at Vibbard Christian Union Church. Inurnment will be at a later date at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs.

Sharon was born on May 13, 1934, in Bosman, Mont., to Stacy and Helen P. (Kinyon) Clayton – the oldest of 11 children.

She married Dwight Ray Larrimore in 1960. They were married for 16 years until his passing. She then married Wallace R. Sims in 1978.

She worked for Lawson schools as a head cook for 18 years before her retirement. She then started working in the auction business, opened her own concession food stand and was known for her famous brownies.

She loved cooking, baking and flowers. She was a member of Vibbard Christian Union Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brothers, Larry Clayton, Duane Clayton and Ronald Clayton; and grandsons, Riley and Michael.

She is survived by four brothers, three sisters, six children, 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
