Stephen Ballard, 62, of Excelsior Springs Missouri passed away July 16, 2020, at the hospital from a long battle with cancer.

Ballard was born Oct. 12, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was strong and brave. He enjoyed building custom hotrods, working in his mechanic shop and providing for his family. He was a problem solver and known for his work ethic. He liked to crack jokes and create goofy nicknames for everyone close to him. He loved his cars, dogs and family the most.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia; his wife, Sheryl; his siblings, Jeff and Michelle; his four children, Megan, Melissa, Ashley and Stephen; his two stepdaughters, Heather and Stephanie; and his eight grandchildren.
