Steven Joe Littrell Jr. (Joey), 44, of Excelsior Springs passed away Jan. 2, 2024.

Joey was born June 24, 1979, in Columbia, the son of Steven and Jennirae Littrell (Warner).

Joey married Jessica Littrell (Riffle) on July 1, 2001, at The Elms Hotel in Excelsior Springs. They were lucky to find each other in high school and spend 26 years building an amazing life together. The highlight of their life was raising two amazing sons, Logan and Tanner Littrell.

Joey followed in his father’s footsteps and worked the last 22 years at Ameren as a journeyman lineman.

He deeply loved his friends and family. He especially loved hanging out, enjoying a few beers, traveling, riding side-by-sides, golfing, cooking and sharing his food with his loved ones.

Remaining to cherish Joey’s memory are his spouse, Jessica Littrell; children, Logan and Tanner Littrell; mother, Jennirae Littrell; father and stepmother, Steven and Valerie Littrell; mother-in-law, Kim Dodgen; and cousins, aunts, uncles and many close friends.

Preceding Joey in death were his grandparents, Joe and Hazel Littrell of Hale, and Clarence and Shirley Warner, also of Hale.
