Susanne Lewellen, 66, of Excelsior Springs Missouri passed away September 4th, 2021, at her home. 

Susanne was born October 17, 1954, in Wyandotte County, KS to Willis and Evelyn Barb (Williams). She was a 1972 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School and was employed by JC Penney in Excelsior Springs for many years. 

Susanne was united in marriage to Danny Lewellen on April 15, 2000. She was previously married to Thomas Young from 1972 until 1999. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and three siblings Danny Barb, Dennis Barb and Carolyn Jordan (Barb). 

Susanne is survived by spouse Danny Lewellen, children Brenton Young, Erin (Marcus) Thomas and Leslie (Josh) Steward. Her grandchildren Ryan Thomas and Conor Young, her three siblings Gary (Mary) Barb, Kathy (Don) Howe and Mary Barb and many nieces and nephews. 

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 4:00-6:30 PM Friday September 17, 2021, at Firehouse Community Center, 106 S. Jefferson St, Kearney MO 64060. 

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM September 18, 2021, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Lincoln, Missouri.
