Teresa Re’Nay Howard-Sawyer, 68, of Lawson, MO passed away peacefully at her home on May 26, 2021.

She was born Jan. 4, 1953 in Kansas City, MO to Carl G. and Betty L. Ballou. She graduated from Northeast High School, Class of 1971 and later studied at the University of Central Missouri. 
She is preceded in death by her father Carl G. Ballou and granddaughter Haley L. McDonald.

Survivors include her mother Betty L. Ballou of Kansas City, Mo.; husband Lawrence R. Sawyer of the home; sister Mary J. Rounds (Michael) of Independence, Mo.; children Joseph C. Sall (Candace) of Columbia, Mo., Leslie M. Schirk (Mark) of Kearney, Mo., and Kellie E. McClanahan (Jason) of Lawson, Mo.; her grandchildren Christopher, Lindsey, Elizabeth, Connor, Madilynn, Jacob and two great grandchildren Liam and Carter. 

Graveside services will be 2pm, Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family has designated the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research 
Foundation for memorial donations in Teresa’s name.
