Theresa Ann Watson (Bass), 44 years young, was murdered outside of her home on September 7, 2022. The loss of her love and light will be felt, forever. Theresa was born on the first day of winter solstice, December 21, 1977, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a 1996 graduate of Park Hill High School, and later graduated from Colorado Technical College in North Kansas City in 2012, receiving her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She thoroughly enjoyed physically helping and healing people through her nursing career. She worked several years at Valley Manor and Rehab in Excelsior Springs, and most recently at Lawson Manor and Rehab in Lawson. She also took pride in being able to help mentally and spiritually heal people through an ancient form of energy healing, known as Usai Reiki. She received her First and Second Degree Reiki in April of 2016, and her Reiki Master in 2021. Her hobbies included listening to good music, and spending time with her friends, family, and in nature.

Theresa was preceded in death by her mother, Janette Watson; her aunt, Sue Watson; her aunt, Patsy Webb; and her first love and Derek's father, Derek Hoskins, among others. Theresa is survived by her five children, Derek Hoskins, Jada Watson, Makaya McCant, Kiera McCant and Marquez McCant. She also leaves behind other family members and close friends that she considered her family, including Tracy Watson and children, Mechelle Jarvis and children, Barbara Stiers and daughter, Melissa Doran, Joe Mike Sherrick, and Guy and Crystal Harris, and many others.

A service celebrating Theresa's life will begin at 2pm on Saturday, October 8, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1640 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Guests will be invited to share memories and pictures of Theresa if they wish.
