Willard Ross “Bubba” Ridenour. 69, of Lawson, passed away on Jan. 2, 2021, of natural causes.

Will was born on Nov. 3, 1951, in Kansas City to Willard Fand Waunita Ridenour. He grew up in the Parkville area. Will worked for Nabisco/Kraft/Mondelez as a driver for over 30 years, delivering to grocery stores.

Will married Nancy (Montgomery) in 1991 and resided in Grandview for 10 years. They were married for more than 20 years. They enjoyed volunteering together for the Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief, Missouri. Will enjoyed working with the chainsaw crew, but he would work in the shower or laundry trailer or washing dishes in the scullery if Nancy asked him.

Will proudly volunteered as a bell-ringer for the Salvation Army and as a commander for the Royal Rangers at the Excelsior Springs and Richmond Assemblies of God. Will was an exceptional parade float builder and would show pictures to anyone who cared to see.

Will had five children, Patty McDowell, Willard F. R., Matthew, Christina and Roseanna Do Ridenour; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two stepchildren, Jeremy Montgomery and Katie Deneault. They were all a great source of pride. He loved them dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Roseanna; brother, David (Butch); and sister, Laverne. Will is survived by his wife, Nancy; and children, Willard F.R., Matthew, Christina and Patty; and siblings, Bill and John Ridenour, Ida Davidson, Christina Wagner and Mary Ann Olguin.

A memorial service will be held at the Richmond Assembly of God Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to support disaster relief in his honor. Please mail your contribution to Clay Platte Baptist Association; 11701 Plattsburg Road; Kearney, MO. 64060. Please reference Disaster Relief.
