YVONNA GLENNIDEAN ANDERSON

Yvonna Glennidean Anderson, 87, of Excelsior Springs passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by family.
Glennidean was born Jan. 17, 1938, in Cherryvale, Kan., to Yvonna Josephine Field and Glen Harold George.
She was raised by Josephine and her stepfather, Jack Easley. She loved Jack. He treated her well and was the only father she knew.
Glennidean graduated in 1956 from Excelsior Springs High School.
She led a life as a homemaker and was devoted to raising her children. Her family was her main focus in life.
Glennidean married Albert Newton “Pete” Anderson on July 8, 1956. They were married by Glennidean’s grandfather, Rev. J.E. Stark. They parented three children: Marcia Deal, Carl Anderson and Jeffrey Anderson.
In 1972, Pete and Glennidean built their home. She loved it until the day she died.
Pete preceded Glennidean in death on May 6, 2023. Glennidean loved attending U.S. Navy ship reunions with Pete. She especially loved serving as a host at Down Under Campground in Turney, where she was affectionately called “Jellybean.”
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, visiting the campground, playing Bingo and watching her grandchildren dance at Saturday night dances. In addition, Glennidean enjoyed puzzles, reading, playing cards, collecting lighthouses and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Glennidean and Pete were longtime members of the Woodland Baptist Church. The church meant the world to her.
Glennidean loved listening to old hymns, her favorites being “The Old Rugged Cross,” “In the Garden” and “He Walks with Me.”
Glennidean is survived by her brother, Everett Easley (Elizabeth); daughter, Marcia Deal (Jim) of Excelsior Springs; and son, Jeffrey Anderson (Kelly) of Excelsior Springs.
Other survivors include her grandchildren, Ryan Deal, Derek Deal, Briana Deal, Curtis Anderson, Crystal Anderson, Tonnie Peoples (Brandon) and Jacob Anderson; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her beloved husband, preceding Glennidean in death were her parents; stepfather, Jack Easley; two older sisters, who passed in infancy; son, Carl Anderson; and granddaughter, Janelle Wynn.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Zion KC, 1800 U.S. Highway 69, Excelsior Springs, followed by the memorial service at noon. A graveside service will immediately follow at Mount Zion Cemetery, 10726 Highway H, Liberty.
