Dear Editor:

Thank you Helen Price,

I don’t know who Helen Price is but she hit the nail on the head when she talked about repairing the swimming pool at the Hall of Waters instead of spending $17,000,000 on a new community center and new swimming pool.

This is an amount I’ve never heard voiced either in the paper or in a council meeting.  I cannot believe it would take more than $17,000,000 to fix the pool at the Hall of Waters.

I also believe for that amount or less the mineral waters at the Hall could be reestablished so when people drive through Excelsior Springs and see all the signs pointing to the Hall of Waters they could see and possibly participate in the amenities at the Hall of Waters instead of just being directed to see a pretty building.  Because without the baths and indoor pool they are being misled by all the pretty signs directing people to the “Hall”.

Sincerely,

Norma J. Perkins
