Letter to the Editor:

Okay folks, I realize I don’t speak for everyone in our community, but speaking as a retired public school teacher I can say that anything that gives our youth a place to go or something constructive to do is a “go” in my book.

I, as well as many other citizens of our community, am fed up with the “should we or shouldn’t we” build a state-of-the-art community center, renovate the historical Hall of Waters among other historic structures downtown and bring our home into this millennium.

Yes, I am a dinosaur, but I do realize that it’s “now or never” when it comes to upgrading, restoring and making a name for this town as a “go to” for a number of entertainment, event, historical and terrific places to live destination.

Let’s put a crowbar in our collective wallets and make the place we love one that will be a place for many visitors and newcomers to make home.  Tourists will spend a lot of bucks here if there are places to spend them.  Build!
