Casler, McCant, Rogers finish prep careers on podium
Marquez McCant, Josie Casler and Kinley Rogers each finished their high school high school track and field careers at Excelsior Springs on the awards podium at state competition.McCant placed third in the boys long jump by leaping 6.75 meters at the Class 4 meet, held May 29-30 in Jefferson City. Per Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) regulations, the top eight finishers in each event received medals.Casler finished highest on the girls side, taking third in the javelin by throwing 40.97. Rogers took fourth in the javelin by throwing 35.59. In addition, Rogers placed seventh in both the discus and shot put.McCant, Casler and Rogers graduated high school in mid-May.McCant was among three Excelsior Springs guys who competed at state.
