ES club bowlers get season rolling at Sugar Creek
SUGAR CREEK – Excelsior Springs’ club bowling season is underway.
The club opened March 14 at Sterling Bowl, home center for Fort Osage’s club team. Excelsior Springs entered two teams in the event, with Excelsior Springs 1 placing third and Excelsior Springs 2 finishing 10th out of 12 teams.
ES 1, consisting of Jason Besherse, Cade Leonhard, Olivia Smith, Andrew DeOrnellis and Joshua Oldham, opened against Excelsior Springs 2, winning 198-113. ES 1 dropped its second match to Raymore-Peculiar 204- 170, then bounced back by defeating Lee’s Summit North 208-129.
After that, ES 1 fell to Park Hill B 234- 170 and rebounded by defeating Lee’s Summit 223-160. Fort Osage topped ES 1 255-160 in match No. 6, with ES 1 bouncing back again by defeating Staley 231-131.
The quintet stayed hot, defeating Plattsburg 1 229-164 and Plattsburg 2 216-111. The fivesome split their final two contests, dropping one to Park Hill 243-192 and defeating Oak Park 229- 150.
