Excelsior Springs ended the regular season on a winning note in varsity girls soccer. Make that two winning notes. The Tigers won their final two regularseason games, downing Odessa 2-0 on May 8 and Winnetonka 3-1 on May 11. Both games were at Tiger Stadium. Junior Abby Rash started the scoring in the Senior Night win over Odessa with an unassisted goal. Rash made it 2-0 by finishing a pass from junior Bailey Carder. Sophomore Brooklyn Sharp picked up the shutout in goal, with help from senior Lauren Mueller, junior Allison Armstrong, sophomore Elyssa Blesing, and first-year high schoolers Maya Watkins and Ragan Roberts assisting in the field in defense. “We had a great crowd that made for a great atmosphere for the girls, and the girls really showed up,” coach Zac Ganzer said.
