ES golfers 13th at Lawson; continue tourney schedule
Excelsior Springs is on something akin to a tournament circuit in girls golf.
Missouri State High School Activities Association information states that five of the Tigers’ six competitions over a 15-day stretch are tournaments. The string started with the Lawson Girls Golf Invitational on Sept. 6 at Hidden Valley Golf Course in Lawson, where Excelsior Springs shot a combined 487 and placed 13th among 19 schools.
Senior Addison Jackson was Excelsior Springs’ top golfer, finishing her 18-hole, par-72 round with a 106 (+34), putting her in a four-way tie for 24th. In other team results, Addison Mathews and Tanya Hladky-Bly each shot a 125 (+53) to tie for 61st, and senior Zoey Rogers shot a 131 (+59) and tied Richmond’s Carsyn Teat for 66th.
