EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – On Sept. 23, the Tigers played host to eight schools, as they staged their annual Excelsior Springs Invitational in girls tennis. Carrollton, Cameron, Center, Fort Osage, Grain Valley, Kearney, Odessa and Winnetonka participated in the allday tournament. Sophomore Annalise Selby was the top singles finisher for the Tigers, going 2-2 to take fourth place in the No. 1 singles bracket. The combination of senior Lizzy Casey and junior Amanda Mayfield also finished 2-2 and took fourth in No. 1 doubles. Junior Kaylie Como and senior Sadie Moore finished the No. 2 doubles bracket 2-2 for fourth place. The sophomore duo of Emma Kern and Nicole Kilgore finished 2-2 as well and took fourth in No. 3 doubles.
