ES softballers cap season with banquet

On Nov. 15, Excelsior Springs put a cap on its varsity softball season. That night, the Tigers held their awards banquet at the high school. Kinley Rogers received the offensive and team Most Valuable Player awards. Josie Casler received the Defensive Most Valuable Player Award. Chloe Carlyle picked up the Tiger Pride Award. Those awards followed a string of postseason awards given to various members of the program. Rogers was a second-team, all-region selection and first-team, all-district selection. Keira Romazon, Bailey Carder, Bella Loeffert and Kayden Rogers received second-team, all-district honors. Casler and Willa Schreier received honorable mention. In other postseason honors, Loeffert, Kinley Rogers and Romazon were firstteam selections to the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division team.
