Excelsior Springs varsity volleyball coach Cindy Price and her Tigers have their first match victory this season.They got it during tournament play Sept. 14 at Chillicothe. The girls went 1-3-1 for the tournament, Missouri State High School Activities Association records state.Before the tournament, Excelsior Springs played three stand-alone matches last week, falling Sept. 10 to visiting St. Joseph Central, Sept. 11 to visiting Harrisonville and Sept. 12 at Kearney.The Tigers dropped their first two sets to St. Joe Central (25-16, 25-18) before winning the third one 25-21. They lost the finale of the best-of-five match 2624.Junior Jordin Price led Excelsior Springs with 20 kills and nine digs.
