ES1 rolls to third on the road, second at home
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – A May 1 visit to Summit Lanes in Lee’s Summit ended in a third-place finish for ES1, one of Excelsior Springs Club Bowling’s two teams.
ES1 opened the tournament with a 210-168 loss to Fort Osage. ES2, the club’s other team, started with a 198-141 loss to Park Hill 2.
Sparked by a hot streak, ES1 rolled to a 219-165 win over Raymore-Peculiar. ES2 rebounded from losing its first game by rolling to a 185-112 victory over Plattsburg.
ES2 then picked up a 181-144 win over Lee’s Summit. ES1 cooled off, losing 220-148 to Oak Park.
Game No. 4 was a different story. ES1 defeated Lee’s Summit 232-147. ES2 fell 231-149.
Next, ES1 defeated Park Hill 1 185-131. ES2 fell 175-141 to Fort Osage.
Both teams won their respective sixth games, with ES1 rolling past Plattsburg 216-125 and ES2 defeating Oak Park 207-174.
ES1 fell 226-166 to Lee’s Summit North in its seventh game. ES2, however, defeated Staley 160-120.
