Excelsior Springs varsity volleyball coach Cindy Price and her Tigers broke even to start this week.

After falling 3-2 Monday to Lawson, the girls swept Winnetonka Tuesday 3-0 to cap a three-match homestand that had begun Sept. 18 with a 3-0 sweep of Lexington.

Tuesday’s Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division win put Excelsior Springs at 4-11-1 overall entering Thursday’s divisional road meeting with Grandview.

The Excelsior Springs girls have two matches slated for next week, starting Sept. 30 with visiting Raytown South.
