Experience, youth characterize ES girls soccer

The Tigers will possess a mix of experience and youth in varsity girls soccer as they look to improve on their 9-10 campaign of 2022 and begin playing in a new conference. Returning all-district and allconference selections Lauren Mueller, Abby Rash and Bailey Carder will help provide the experience. Carder and Rash, both juniors, were Excelsior Springs’ top two goal-scorers last season with 15 and 10, respectively. Coach Zac Ganzer expects senior transfer Ava Morton to join them in finding ways to score. Mueller, a senior center back, will be expected to help lead the defenders in keeping the ball away from Excelsior Springs’ two goalies – junior Allison Armstrong and sophomore Brooklyn Sharp.
