I’ve received some great-ish news about a former area athlete – and some not-so-great news about another former area athlete.

The great news concerns Excelsior Springs graduate and current pro football player Sam Webb. Late last week, it was finally confirmed that Webb had signed with another NFL team. As you might recall, he turned pro with Las Vegas, was with Carolina for a bit, then back with Las Vegas, then was with Tennessee and finished last season with Cleveland. Since his parting of ways with Cleveland a few months ago, I regularly and anxiously did Google searches to find out his status.
