Glaspy stays upbeat, seeks to return after ACL tear
A season-ending injury sidelined Klayton Glaspy physically, but not emotionally.
Glaspy, a junior-to-be at Excelsior Springs, saw his high school varsity baseball season cut short on May 9, when Excelsior Springs faced Raytown South at Ray South. Racing for a fly ball in short right field during the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division meeting, he collided with right fielder Jacob Bright, tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
The two-sport athlete continued to support his teammates for the remainder of the season. Usually, he was the first player out of the dugout to congratulate his fellow Tigers between innings.
