Romazon ready to pitch again for ESHS softballers
When Excelsior Springs begins varsity softball season in August, the Tigers will likely turn to Keira Romazon to pitch.Romazon, who’ll be a junior this fall, has pitched for Excelsior Springs the past two seasons. She’s looking forward to playing high school softball again, she suggested.“There is always some cheering you on and yelling for you when you do something great when playing for the school,” Romazon said.Romazon loves the support system varsity softball provides. There’s someone to show comfort when plays, innings or games don’t go a player’s away, according to Romazon.To prepare for the fall, Romazon is playing this summer for the Cyclones, a club softball team. She has spent the past 11 seasons playing for the Cyclones and has been among the team’s top pitchers.“Playing club softball has allowed me to build great relationships that will turn into lifelong friendships,” she said.When not on the...
