EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The track and field teams logged some bus miles last week. Excelsior Springs competed in two road meets: the Nick Sloop Invitational April 25 at Lawson and the Platte County Invitational April 29 at Platte County. Between the varsity girls and boys programs, the Tigers claimed 22 topfour finishes at Lawson, including a win by senior Tyler Rumore in the boys 3,200-meter run. The Excelsior Springs girls produced four second-place finishes. The individual runners-up were senior Alyssa Mormino, who ran the 400 in 1 minute, 7.88 seconds; and senior Macey Chaney, who ran the 800 in 2:40.59.
