Tiger netters look to improve

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Coach Richie Marsh looks for improvement from his Tigers as he enters his 10th season of leading Excelsior Springs girls tennis, as does longtime volunteer assistant coach Steve Dillinger. The Tigers return four netters with varsity experience from last season’s squad, which went 3-16 overall and 0-6 in the Missouri River Valley Conference West Division. Jockeying for the lineup’s top singles spot are seniors Sadie Moore and Elizabeth Casey, junior Amanda Mayfield and sophomore newcomer Annalise Selby. Mayfield finished last season as the No. 2 singles player, with Casey in the third spot and Moore in the fourth spot. Junior Kaylie Como also returns. Como finished last season as the No. 6 varsity singles player.
