OZARK – Before June 1, Kaelan Bedford hadn’t been mobbed by his teammates. Now that he has been mobbed by his teammates, he’s fine with being mobbed again. And again. And again. The reason for the June 1 mobbing was this: Bedford’s no-out, bases-loaded, right-field single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave Excelsior Springs a 6-5 win over Fulton in the third-place game of the Class 4 state baseball tournament. The victory at Sky Bacon Stadium marked the third time the Tigers have placed third in a state tournament; however, it marked the first time Excelsior Springs has placed third without a coin toss being involved, according to coach Aaron Holst and infielder Ryne Marcum. “They had a mound visit, Coach Holst came over to me and it was just (him telling me to) see something low, so I … (could) get it on the ground to the right side,” Bedford said. “And I put it on the ground (on the) left side – not really what I wanted, but it worked out.” Brendan Blackburn, who scored…
