Sam Webb is still a Las Vegas Raider.

On Tuesday, the Raiders announced their 53-man, regular-season roster, as required by the NFL. Webb, a 2016 Excelsior Springs High School graduate, was among five cornerbacks they kept, the team’s official website stated.

An undrafted free-agent signee, Webb helped secure his spot by making 16 total tackles during the preseason – third on the team. He was second on the team in solo tackles with 13. He made six of his tackles during Las Vegas’ 15-13 Aug. 20 road win over Miami, including one assisted tackle. His preseason stat line also included two pass defenses, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

The Excelsior Springs native, who played NCAA Division II football at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, remains with a team that went 10-7 during the 2021 regular season and secured an AFC wild card spot. Las Vegas’ season ended with a first-round road playoff loss to eventual AFC champion Cincinnati.
