Webb signed to LVR practice squad
Sam Webb is still a Las Vegas Raider after all.
On Monday, the Raiders announced their cuts to finalize their 53-man roster for the NFL’s regular season. One of the players cut was Webb, a 2016 Excelsior Springs High School graduate who played NCAA Division II football at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph before signing with Las Vegas in May 2022 as an undrafted free agent. He went to make the Raiders’ regular-season roster as a cornerback.
Then, on Wednesday, the Raiders listed Webb as among players they had signed to their practice squad. Per NFL rules, a team may place up to 16 players on its practice squad.
It was a move some followers of the team had seen coming.
In a post on Tuesday on The Raiders Silver & Black Facebook page following Las Vegas’ announcement about Webb, a writer dubbed “ Jax” wrote: “Sam Webb is definitely going to be back on the practice squad, if not picked up.” And in a video posted Wednesday morning on the YouTube channel Raiders…
