Excelsior Springs varsity girls tennis coach Richie Marsh would probably say his Tigers’ winning streak in duals is no fluke.“The girls are playing really good tennis right now and they are coming ready to work every day,” Marsh said.With Tuesday’s thumping of visiting Grandview, the Tigers had won four straight and were 7-2 in duals. That streak included back-to-back sweeps last week.First, Excelsior Springs thumped Benton 9-0 Sept. 16 in St. Joseph. Then, the girls hammered Oak Park of Kansas City, also 9-0, Sept. 18 in Kansas City.Seniors Shelby Stodden and Malaya Tedesco sparked the Tigers in their victory over Benton, winning the No. 1 doubles match 8-3.
