Excelsior Springs has some more money to devote to road infrastructure – $21.5 million, to be exact. The city recently announced the federal government is directing that amount to Excelsior Springs through the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant program.
A few months ago, Excelsior Springs Hospital CEO Kristen DeHart realized there was a problem the hospital needed to help address. “We really have some challenges in Excelsior Springs when it comes to our children and their behavioral health,” DeHart said.
The Excelsior Springs Board of Education has filled a vacancy. Nominated by Troy Snelling, the board unanimously approved Jill Evert Monday night at the Support Services Center to finish Steve Houck’s term as director.
