National recognition for Excelsior Springs

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Excelsior Springs is the first community in the nation to receive silver recognition through the Communities of Excellence Assessment and Recognition Program. Silver is the highest level of recognition awarded through the program.

EXCELSIOR – The city has new Historic Preservation Commission and Planning and Zoning Board members. City Clerk Shannon Stroud swore in Jason Van Till to preservation and Julia Goldstein to zoning Jan.

Job Corps loses students; district loses funding

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The school district expects a slight uptick in Job Corps student enrollment within the next few months, Superintendent Travis Hux told district leaders Jan. 10 during the Board of Education meeting at the Support Services Center.
