Betty Mae McCrary, 93, formerly of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Oct. 7, 2022. 

She was born Feb. 10, 1929 in Excelsior Springs to Kline and Ella (Williams) Teegarden. 

Betty was a cook for the Lawson School District until retiring. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene McCrary; children, Ronald McCrary, Connie McCrary Murray, Stephanie McCrary Perry; and sister, Chareena (Bug) Brown.

Keith George, 65 years of Lawson, passed away on Friday October 7, 2022 at his residence.

Jeffrey Allen Riegel

Jeffrey Allen Riegel passed away on August 7, 2022, at the age of 58, in Kearney, MO. His battle with cancer in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a sense of humor or that ornery smile. Despite the pain, Jeff stayed strong until the end. 

Jeff was born on November 1, 1963, to Walter Clay and Cynthia Sue Riegel.  Jeff loved to play basketball. After graduating from Braymer High School, he went on to study at William Jewell College.

Carl Carrel was born in Ft. Lewis, Washington in an Army family that was stationed all over the United States and Europe.  Third grade was in Excelsior Springs while his father was in Vietnam and again after his dad retired to finish his school years here.  Work started at Worlds of Fun and the Pepsi plant in town.
